In the summer of 2019 my dear friend Yvonne Mason introduced me to Jane Grass, an oral storyteller. When Jane shared a story, I was fascinated and wanted more. She suggested I look into the Baden Storytellers' Guild which I did. By mid-2020 the Baden Storytellers' Guild invited me to be a member and I joyously accepted. They remain my storytelling family of origin and I continue to learn and grow through this valuable organization.

I am also a member of Storytelling Toronto and Storytellers of Canada - Conteurs du Canada (SC-CC).

I have completed all of the Storytelling Toronto Core Training requirements.

I am currently studying to be a Mindfulness Meditation Teacher.

In February of 2023, with Judy Caulfield agreeing to be my mentor, The Baden Storytellers' Guild nominated our pairing for the Emerging Storyteller Award and we were selected as a recipient of the award. Together, Judy and I traveled to the conference in Sudbury where I told my version of the story "The Stars In the Sky"

I have offered one-off workshops, workshop series, and individual support for those exploring the art of telling a story aloud from the heart without reading text.

I have told stories to audiences of all ages at Seniors' Centres; Retirement Homes; bookstores; libraries; community events; story swaps in person and online; The Palace Theatre in London, ON; online for corporate enrichment; Tea N Tales at the Guelph Enabling Garden for three years; and at private storytelling gatherings,

January 9, 2026 was the first day of my full-time Tales All Around era. This was my first day as the Friday Ambassador at The Atrium, St. Thomas, Ontario's one and only premier co-working space. My first day as a full-time professional oral storyteller. I'm diving all in to see where this journey will take me next, to see who I will meet along the way!

In 2025 and 2026, with the support of SC-CC Grants, I hosted the first and second St. Thomas World Storytelling Day celebrations at Wildflowers Farm. ​Now, in June 2026, preparations are already underway for the third annual St. Thomas World Storytelling Day Celebration. Once again, the celebration will be held at Wildflowers Farm. Save the date for this exciting event featuring local  oral storytellers on the evening of Saturday, March 20,2027.

My main focus at this time is to connect locally with other oral storytellers and anyone interested in learning more about oral storytelling. I always enjoy telling stories out and about in St. Thomas, Elgin County, and beyond. No time is too short, Each month I have been telling three-minute stories at the St. Thomas Elgin Public Art Centre during the open mic portion of the Trestle Bridge Poetry series. Most recently I have developed a new workshop I call "Teens and Tales: Dice and Dragons", to meet teens where their interests lie and perhaps ignite an interest in oral storytelling too!
