The Honourable Justice Murray Sinclair: January 24, 1951 to November 4, 2024. On CBC I found a short clip in which he answers the question "Why don't residential school survivors just get over it?" https://www.cbc.ca/player/play/video/1.4052605

Chair of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, he played a valuable role in the creation of the 94 Calls to Action. https://ehprnh2mwo3.exactdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Calls_to_Action_English2.pdf

One of my commitments to the work of Truth and Reconciliation is to talk with other storytellers about Truth and Reconciliation. I invite you to read the 94 Calls to Action and consider a commitment you can make to this very important work.

Today I honour the life of the Honourable Justice Murray Sinclair. The quote shown below is one of his found at this link https://redi.med.ubc.ca/a-tribute-to-the-honourable-justice-murray-sinclair-champion-of-justice-and-reconciliation/  . Today I recognize his body of work and consider ways that I, a settler descendant, can be an ally to the First Nations, Inuit, and Metis Peoples of this land some call Turtle Island. Today I commit to learning more about the history of this land.
